How can we help?

Everything Nolario can do, from your first connection to importance scoring, the AI Chat and Skills. Search below or browse the guide.

What Nolario is

Nolario is one workspace for everything a business runs on. It pulls every channel into a single feed, scores each item for importance with AI, drafts replies in your voice, and surfaces the decisions that need you. It is built for founders and leaders whose scarcest resource is attention.

  • One feed: Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Teams, Calendar and OneDrive all flow into a single prioritised feed instead of a dozen tabs.
  • Importance first: Every item is scored 0–10 for importance by AI, so the thing that actually matters is always at the top — never buried.
  • Your voice: Nolario drafts replies and summaries that sound like you, learning your tone and style over time.
  • Beyond the inbox: It also surfaces decisions waiting on you, and answers questions through the AI Chat.

Getting started

The first time you sign in, a short onboarding walks you through setup in a few steps. You can revisit any of these choices later in Settings.

  • Pick your role: Choose Founder/CEO, Executive, Manager or Individual. Your role tailors which channels and priorities Nolario recommends.
  • Connect your channels: Link Gmail, Outlook, Slack or Teams. The more you connect, the more complete your single feed becomes.
  • Add your VIPs: Tell Nolario which people always matter (email addresses). Messages from VIPs get an importance boost so they never slip.
  • Land on the Dashboard: When onboarding finishes you arrive at the Dashboard, where your prioritised feed lives.
You can connect more accounts at any time from the sidebar (“Add account”) or from Settings → Integrations.

The Dashboard & Smart Feed

The Dashboard is your home base: a single feed that blends every connected channel and orders it by importance, so the top of the list is always where your attention should go.

  • Unified feed: Email, chat messages and tasks appear together, each labelled with its source so you always know where it came from.
  • Sorted by importance: Items are ranked by their AI importance score — the most important thing is at the top by design.
  • Filter by source: Use the sidebar to focus on one account or folder (e.g. just Gmail, or just a Slack channel) when you want a narrower view.
  • Act in place: Open an item to read it, draft a reply in your voice, archive it, or hand it to the AI Chat — without leaving the feed.

Importance scoring

Importance scoring is the heart of Nolario. Every incoming item gets a score from 0.0 to 10.0 that decides where it lands in your feed. Scoring blends fast on-device heuristics with AI judgement.

  • 0–10 scale: Higher means more urgent or consequential for you. The same scale is used across every channel so scores stay comparable.
  • What raises a score: Messages from your VIPs, direct questions or requests, deadlines, mentions, and threads you're actively part of.
  • What lowers a score: Newsletters, receipts, automated notifications and bulk announcements are pushed down unless they carry a real deadline or ask.
  • Calm badges: Importance is shown with a calm, consistent badge scale — never a rainbow — so you can read priority at a glance.
  • It learns: As you act on items and set VIPs, scoring adapts to what you actually treat as important.

Connecting channels

Nolario brings your tools together through secure connections you authorise yourself. Connect from the sidebar's “Add account” button or from Settings → Integrations.

  • Email: Gmail and Outlook — read, score, summarise and reply, with folder support.
  • Chat: Slack and Microsoft Teams — messages and mentions flow into your feed and can be summarised or actioned.
  • Calendar: Google Calendar — events appear in Nolario and feed meeting prep and scheduling.
  • Files: OneDrive connects so your documents are reachable too.
  • You stay in control: Each connection is an OAuth authorisation you grant, and you can disconnect any account at any time from Settings.
Connecting more channels makes importance scoring smarter, because Nolario can weigh everything competing for your attention against each other.

AI Chat

AI Chat is your personal assistant inside Nolario. Open it from the sidebar. It knows your connected context, your style, your installed skills — and this documentation — so it can both do work and help you use the product.

  • Ask anything: Summarise a thread, draft a reply, plan your day, prep for a meeting, or ask how a Nolario feature works.
  • Bring in your data: @-mention files and messages from Gmail, Slack, Teams or Outlook, or upload a file, to ground the conversation in real context.
  • Choose your model: Leave it on automatic routing (Nolario picks the right model for the task) or select a specific model. Some models require a higher plan.
  • Voice input: Dictate with the microphone — your speech is transcribed into the chat.
  • Data permissions: A permissions panel lets you toggle which sources (Gmail, Slack, Calendar, Teams, Outlook) the assistant may read for a conversation.
  • Sessions: Conversations are saved as sessions you can revisit, rename and pin.

Skills

Skills are reusable, named capabilities you switch on for your assistant. An enabled skill is applied automatically whenever a request matches it — no need to re-explain what you want every time.

  • Skills Library: Browse the catalogue of pre-made skills (inbox triage, reply in your voice, meeting prep, executive summary, decision memo and more) and install the ones you want.
  • Built-in product guide: Every user automatically has a built-in skill that makes the AI Chat fluent in Nolario's documentation, so it can always help you use the app.
  • Create your own: Just ask the chat to “create a skill” — it asks a couple of quick questions, then proposes a skill you can add with one click.
  • Enable or disable: Turn any installed skill on or off at any time; only enabled skills affect the assistant.

Knowledge — how Nolario learns you

Nolario builds a private knowledge graph about you — your role, the people and projects you mention, and your writing style — so its drafts and answers feel like they already know you.

  • Learns from your chats: As you work, Nolario quietly notes durable facts (who your team is, what you're working on) and your tone, and reuses them to personalise responses.
  • Your voice over time: The more you draft and edit, the closer replies get to how you actually write.
  • Yours alone: This knowledge is private to your account and used only to serve you better.

Calendar

With Google Calendar connected, Nolario shows your schedule alongside your feed and uses it to help you prepare and plan.

  • See your day: Upcoming events appear in the Calendar view.
  • Meeting prep: Ask the AI Chat to prep you for a meeting and it can pull relevant context and history.
  • Plan around it: Importance and scheduling work together so what you focus on accounts for what's already on your calendar.

Decisions

The Decisions view collects the moments that are genuinely waiting on a choice from you, separated from everything that's merely informational.

  • Surfaced for you: Nolario detects when a message or thread needs a decision and gathers those into one place.
  • Decide faster: Each decision comes with the context you need, so you can act without digging through the original threads.

Prompt Library

The Prompt Library is where you save and reuse prompts you reach for often, so a good instruction is one click away instead of retyped.

  • Save prompts: Keep your best-performing prompts in one place.
  • Reuse fast: Drop a saved prompt into the AI Chat whenever you need it.

Files

The Files view gathers documents from your connected accounts (such as Drive and OneDrive) and attachments, so you can find and use them without switching apps.

  • One place: Browse files from across your connected storage and channels.
  • Use in chat: @-mention a file in the AI Chat to ground a conversation in its contents.

Settings

Settings is where you manage your account, connections, language and plan.

  • Integrations: Connect or disconnect channels and manage their access.
  • VIPs & priorities: Update who always matters so scoring reflects your real priorities.
  • Language: Nolario's interface is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
  • Plan: Your subscription tier (Essential, Pro or Elite) determines which AI models and capabilities are available.

Privacy & security

Nolario is built so your most sensitive content stays protected. Privacy isn't an afterthought — it's an architectural rule.

  • PII is scrubbed: Before any message content is sent to an AI provider, personally identifiable information is removed at the boundary and restored only in your final result.
  • Tokens stay server-side: The credentials for your connected accounts are stored securely on the server and never shipped to your browser.
  • Writes go through the server: Your data is never written directly from the browser — every change passes through Nolario's server.
  • You control connections: Disconnect any account at any time, and its access is revoked.

FAQ & troubleshooting

Quick answers to the most common questions. If you're still stuck, just ask the AI Chat — it knows this documentation.

  • Why is something low in my feed?: Its importance score is low. Add the sender as a VIP, or act on similar items, and scoring will adapt.
  • How do I add another account?: Use “Add account” in the sidebar or Settings → Integrations, then authorise the connection.
  • Can I pick which AI model is used?: Yes — in the AI Chat, switch from automatic routing to a specific model. Some models require Pro or Elite.
  • Why can't the assistant see a message?: Check the data-permissions panel in the AI Chat and make sure that source is enabled, and that the account is connected.
Still have a question?

Open the AI Chat from the sidebar and just ask. It knows this documentation, so it can walk you through anything in Nolario.
